Kevin began playing music at the age of 4, beginning with piano. In high school, he picked up both guitar and bass, the latter of which became his primary instrument. After high school, he went on to study Jazz Performance at the University of Utah, receiving a Bachelor of Music in December 2014.
Kevin performs regularly throughout Utah with his two main projects, The Hot Club of Zion, a gypsy jazz band, and Electric Cathedral, a high-energy blues rock band. He also performs with other musicians, including Charles Ellsworth and Vincent Draper. He has performed at numerous venues throughout Utah, including The State Room, Urban Lounge, Rose Wagner Theatre, Velour, KRCL, PCTV, and many more. In addition to live performance, Kevin also spends his time doing session work and running live sound. Kevin’s favorite gear manufacturers are Fender, Markbass, Aguilar, GHS, and of course, Lugville.
