Michael Ledbetter’s musical journey has been nothing short of a rich one thus far. Before making a home in Chicago and Texas style Blues, Ledbetter sang everything from Gospel, Soul, Jazz, R&B, to even having an 8 year career in Opera. For the past 6 years, he has performed regularly all around the world with his mentor Nick Moss as the singer and rhythm guitarist for the Nick Moss Band. In this short time, he has taken stages in nearly every state in the country several times over as well as spreading his talents overseas. Norway, Germany, Finland, Czech Republic, and The Virgin Islands are only a few places that Michael has performed in.
While being a part of the “New School” of young Blues artists, his influences and style are cemented in the old school. The voices of Otis Rush, Magic Sam, Freddie King, Bobby Bland, B.B. King, Elmore James, and Sam Cooke are most vital for setting the foundation of his vocal style. It’s this fact that has earned him accolade, respect, and a place onstage and in studio with many modern masters and legends in Blues. Notable artists like Anson Funderburgh, Curtis Salgado, Lazy Lester, Ronnie Earl, Barrelhouse Chuck, and Billy Flynn. He is absolutely thrilled and honored to be a part of the Lugville team. LUGVILLE FOR LIFE!!!!
